Description / Expertise

A corniche cased carriage clock with three porcelain panels depicting birds, possibly ducks, in flight and swimming. The front panel shows birds in flight on a cream background to the centre of the dial and black Roman numerals. Surrounding this is pink porcelain with gilt decoration.

The movement has a lever escapement and strikes the hours on a gong. It is numbered on the bottom left of the backplate 2183.
